Based on the plan for holidays and Tet in 2025 approved by the Government, civil servants, public employees, and workers will have consecutive days off as follows: 3 days from April 5, 2025, to April 7, 2025 (Saturday to Monday) for the Hung King’s Anniversary, and 5 days from April 30, 2025, to May 4, 2025 (Wednesday to Sunday) for the April 30 & May 1 holidays in 2025.
To ensure convenient and safe travel for passengers during the Hung King’s Anniversary and the April 30 & May 1 holidays in 2025, West Coach Station Joint Stock Company (West Coach Station) has developed a passenger service plan as follows:
1. Forecasted volume
1.1 Hung King’s Anniversary in 2025
- West Coach Station forecasts that the number of vehicles and passengers departing during the Hung King’s Anniversary in 2025 will increase by more than 15% compared to the same period in 2024.
1.2 April 30 & May 1 Holidays 2025
- The number of vehicles and passengers departing during the April 30 & May 1 holidays in 2025 is forecasted to increase by more than 5% compared to the same period in 2024. The peak day is expected to be April 30, 2025 (Wednesday), with passenger departures potentially reaching 61,500 passengers/day and vehicle departures reaching 2,120 vehicles/day. Compared to regular days, passenger volume is expected to increase by more than 119%, and vehicle volume by more than 63%.
2. Ticket sales plan
- During the Hung King’s Anniversary (from April 4, 2025 to the end of April 7, 2025) and the April 30 & May 1 holidays (from April 29, 2025 to the end of May 4, 2025), West Coach Station will sell consigned tickets for transport units from 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily, and 24/7 for transport units selling their own tickets. 3. Ticket prices for the Hung King’s Anniversary and April 30 & May 1 Holidays in 2025
- Transport units requesting a ticket price increase (if any) must submit documents to the relevant authorities in accordance with regulations and send a price declaration notice to West Coach Station for posting at ticket counters and selling tickets to passengers.
- Based on annual statistics, ticket prices during the Hung King’s Anniversary have remained the same as regular days.
- For the April 30 & May 1 holidays, transport units have declared price increases as follows:
+ Routes to the Mekong Delta provinces: Adjusted increases not exceeding 40% compared to regular day fares, applicable for 2 days.
+ Routes to the Central Highlands: Price increases and timing will follow the service plan for the holidays of The Eastern Bus Station.
+ Routes to the Central and Northern regions: Price increases and timing will follow the service plan for the holidays of The New Eastern Bus Terminal.
- For contract vehicles, buses, and additional vehicles, West Coach Station will develop a ticket price list based on the fares declared by transport units for the April 30 & May 1 holidays in 2025, applicable to the aforementioned vehicle types.
Passenger service efforts during the Hung King’s Anniversary and the April 30 & May 1 holidays in 2025 ensure security and order, environmental sanitation, fire prevention and control, and traffic safety.
